I understand that Nin's perspectives on gender were fundamental to her writing philosophy, but I'm increasingly turned off by her gender essentialism.

Didn't know that this was merely Ms. Nin reading excepts from her diary. My fault. Listened anyway, but didn't find it of interest.

This is my first exposure to her, other than watching the movie, Henry and June. Why did I wait so long to experience this woman's writing?
