Ahahahaha, Superman sent Batman in disguise to administer a polygraph to the human Clark. I’m dying! So yeah, Clark passes. He believes his whole story, so Supes takes him to the Fortress for some memory exploration, and he genuinely has memories of a backstory pretty close to the real Clark’s. But what IS he?! It’s very sweet.

Well talk about A long con. After the events of the rebirth the readers have witnessed the presence of a mysterious new Clark kent , Except he’s not Superman and as per his descriptions he has been there all through out the New 52 . This obviously doesn’t bode very well for The Superman , the pre new 52 one , who knows for real that Clark Kent is nothing but an alter ego that he himself created . This issue follows the last issue in Superman trying to figure out who Clark Kent really is . The re Well talk about A long con. The result is surprising for him and hence creates a possibly epic concluding future where the revelations may have massive impact on the DC universe that said while the stage is set for the future the present issue seems very little impactful , that said there are certain things that happens in order to restore certain sense of continuity but like many issues in last fortnight the overall feeling from this issue is that of a filler comics . The art is decent if not spectacular with certain panels consisting of the Fortress of Solitude looking very beautiful and the story despite by all means being sort of a stop gap to the next arc remains very much readable if nothing else .

Still just ok, but I'm reading these as back issues so the mystery has already been solved for me.

Superman gives Clark a watch, which Clark can use if he ever needs help... and Superman will come. Kelex tells Superman that the Geneticron Corporation was holding Doomsday at the top floor. So, he & Clark go to check it out, but the whole building is gone. It vanished. Human Clark Kent writes an article similar to what Lois Lane wrote called "My Day With Superman". Clark writes that this new Superman can be trusted. Superman goes back home to his family & show Jon & Lois a tunnel he has been building. The tunnel is for them to live their lives as the Smiths so that they can come & go as well as they please. I love how Superman has his own voice machine, Kelex, in his Fortress. What is the meaning of the end though? The path is clear... the only path is dead. Who is saying that?

Wow, what an issue! While this uncovers more of what the "Clark" knows and all, we are still left with the mystery. The real Clark is also keeping something a secret (I think) by some of the things he did. I'm curious what the last page teaser is supposed to mean.

Eight issues in and still not much in the way of an explanation of what's going on.

An interesting issue, but nothing too exciting. I think the next arc should be interesting though.

The embodiment of the adage about having your cake and eating it too, but less witty and more saccharine. I don't hate myself enough to keep reading this book.

We get a few answers about the other Clark Kent. This was just a solidly written issue. The use of the newspaper text at the end was done really well.
