Studios' hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Firefly. First, Captain Malcolm Reynolds and his first mate Zoe Alleyne Washburne have a bond that was forged in blood during the war that shaped the 'Verse...but when the awful secret at the core of that bond is finally revealed and they're called to answer, the people who love them are left to pick up the pieces. And in the second exclusive story, there's something evil lurking under Sunnydale High School, namely a gateway to a hell dimension that's been foretold to destroy the world as we know it. Buffy and the gang have mostly got it under control...as long as everything stays exactly as it is, and we mean zero new plot points, no new characters, and absolutely no twists, turns, or misunderstood prophecies. Easy peasy!

It was fine, I don't really know what I was expecting, two very short very incomplete stories that were otherwise ok

Free Comic Book Day is truly a beautiful day. I went for the first time on Saturday with my best friend, and I got four free comic books in addition to a punch of free swag. All in all, it was a great way to spend an afternoon. I was excited to see a Whedonverse book as one of the comic books offered, but in hindsight I wish I had chosen another book in its place. The first sample of a story is from a Firefly comic, which I am not into and so skipped. I enjoyed the second sample of Free Comic Book Day is truly a beautiful day. The first sample of a story is from a Firefly comic, which I am not into and so skipped. I enjoyed the second sample of a story, which gave an interest-piquing first look at an upcoming issue of the new Buffy. No spoilers, but based on this teaser, if you're not reading Boom Studio's new Buffy series, you should start now. Then the third sample was a teaser for the first issue of the new Buffy, which I've already read. Overall, Welcome to Whedonverse wasn't the most strategic pick for me on Free Comic Book Day, but how much can I really complain about a comic book I got for free?

Okay so admittedly I didn’t enjoy the firefly comic mostly because I assume it’s a spin off that I’m not aware of, but I defs WANT TO REWATCH THIS SHOW. BUFFY. This show is from my growing youth years and I never got into the series to be honest, but I ADORED the STYLE and makes me regret that I haven’t watched this show. So I will defs be working on digging into that. ALSO ANGEL MY LOVE <3 Listen peep this comic and let your eyes absorb the artwork and story too!

The firefly story had cool art, but didn't tell me much because I haven't read the current comics. The Buffy stories were ok, not the greatest art. The second story, an excerpt from the recent Buffy #1 was such a straight reboot of the series that it frankly bored me.

I love this book. It has a story for Firefly and Buffy that I hadn't read before and the first part of Buffy #1. I love the reboot of the series. It has all the spirit of the show, but modernized.

Two stories which are intriguing, but ultimately are parts of larger storylines. They just feel unfinished, and like adverts for the main series'.

I was hoping for a Firefly/Buffy crossover. Sadly, no.

The description against this comic is very different from the contents in my copy. Also the cover is slightly different - same elements but just arranged differently. My copy has 3 shorts: - Boss Moon Birth of a Unificator - involves a bunch of people I've never heard of who are probably important in the comic series - none of the regular cast - so it was a bit disappointing - Frenemies - Buffy goes to Anya's shop and buys something, then leaves and Angel comes to buy the sa The description against this comic is very different from the contents in my copy.
