I fell in love with this book. It starts out slow, but it definitely picks up pace. Even if the ending is predictable-- I still loved the writing style.

I really enjoyed this novella. It's about this young woman, Maddi Drake, who is the new owner of an old house that's haunted. The story starts off with a creepy kind of feeling. Maddi just arrived there and is already hearing noises. She investigates, sees a glow from downstairs that quickly disappears, and goes back to bed. Over the course of the story, the odd things going on in the house continues to get more pronounced, which I thought was well done. I didn't feel that the story was rushed. Over the course of the story, the odd things going on in the house continues to get more pronounced, which I thought was well done. I didn't feel that the story was rushed. I thought the pacing was just right, so the suspense was built up nicely. Maddi meets a good looking man named David, and they date a few times. I personally liked it that Maddi stuck to her guns and didn't sleep with him. At the end of the story, the reader discovers why it's good she didn't. There is a ghost in the house, and the ghost plays a vital role in helping Maddi when she needs it most. I won't elaborate since I don't want to spoil the book, except to say when the ghost warned her of the impending 'Danger', he wasn't fooling around. Overall, the story didn't drag, and there were moments of good humor, like when she was running from the noises and bumped into a doorway. I thought the writing was fine. I was compelled to keep reading to find out what would happen next and enjoyed it. If someone is looking for a cute story to pass away an afternoon, I think this book will satisfy.

This was a quick and enjoyable read. The story pulled me in and didn’t let go until the end. There was a touch of mystery, an annoying Realtor, a cat, romance and humor. I really enjoyed it. Lauralynn adds to her interesting take on the supernatural with this story. A new setting for a young woman who find things around her are not always as they seem. Always entertaining in her development and charaters Lauralynn has added another good read to her list. I look forward to her next novel that should be out soon.

This was just okay for me, a little strange. Not quite what I expected it to be for some reason. Quick easy read though.
